Amvic System Insulated Concrete Forms
Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF's) have been around for forty years and are just now gaining mainstream popularity. ICF's are hollow, lightweight, "Stay in Place" forms made of two panels of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) that are connected by polypropylene webs. You stack up the forms and brace them in place and pour concrete into the hollow interior. What you end up with is a concrete wall that is insulated on both sides and ready for interior and exterior finishes.
Are all ICF's alike? No way. 41 LUMBER has sold other forms in the past. When we came across the Amvic ICF we knew we had found the best. Amvic Insulated Concrete Forms have the industry's leading form capacity strength -- 865 pounds per square foot. No one else even comes close!
The Expanded Polystyrene foam has a 1.5 pound density -- you can actually feel the difference in density between the Amvic form and the others. Amvic's patented Secure Formlock design (the nubs on the top and bottom of the blocks that interlock when the blocks are stacked) eliminates the need to glue blocks together and greatly reduces the number of ties needed saving you a lot of set up time.
Each straight block has eight rigid polystyrene webs, not six like everyone else, so there is just 4" of unsupported EPS between ties. The webs also have a uniquely designed rebar holding system that reduces the need for tie-downs and places the rebar at the most effective places to ensure superior structural strength.
Simply, this is the strongest, most versatile and user friendly Insulated Concrete Form on the market. Get the whole story on Amvic ICF's at any 41 LUMBER location.
